Inveroargiil, yesterday. At the Supreme Court the trial of Daniel Swan, charged with the murder of his wife, commenced this morning. Accused, it was stated, battered her head in with a flat-iron and out her throat in the presence of her rlnnshtev. It is said defendant was jealous of a boarder named JClarke, but there appears to be absolutely no ground for this Owing to accused’s bad condnot his wife obtained a separation order, but received her husband back in the bouse, though marital relations were not reeumed t mu„ case is likely to last over tomorrow* A Inveroargiil, last night.
