DAMAGED WARSHIP.
(Pec Press Association.) . Auokland, last night. An inspection of tho warship Pro* methoua in dook disolosod a hole amidships I on tho starboard side. One propeller blade, \ was twisted. It is statod that when ) anchored at Sunday Island she struck a < submerged rock, which went through a plate in the bottom. Divers plugged the hole, enabling tho warship to coma to Auckland. It is understood that tho vessel's machinery also sustained sotUß' damage. It is uncertain whether repairswill be effected hero or at Sydnoy.
