During the 17th week of the N’ew Zealand egg-laying competition 26:23 eggs were laid by the 100 pens of sis fowls each. This iuoreases the grand aggregate to 23,046, and the weekly average .to 26.23 eggs per pen. Ashworth’s silver Wyandottee, from Aldioga, laid 39, the .highest weekly Dumber yet recorded. The order of merit for the first places is unchanged, the figures being Leger’s white .Leghorns 466, Crook’s white Leghorns 433, Draper’s buff Leghorns 356. Haw.ke’s silver Wyandottes are only two behind the third pen.
