MAN FALLS FROM HORSE AND LIES IN CRITICAL CONDITION.

Yesterday morning James . Allen, of Matawhoro, was admitted to the Gisborne Hospital suffering from oonoassion of the brain. Ho was dieoovored on Tuesday afternoon lying on tho main road at Read’s Gate in an unconscious state, and wa9 conveyed to the Police station in a cab by Constable Keenan.- When pioked up he appeared to reoover, hot at 1 o’clock yesterday morning he heoame worse, and medioal aid had to be summoned. The patient’s removal to the Hospital was ordered, and it was found ho wob suffering from conoussion of the brain. He remained unoonscious yesterday, and was in the samo oondition late last night, there being very little hope of his reoovery. Mr Allen’s age is about 69.
