Mr. Herdman asked the Minister for Lands, whether he would have the law amended with the 'view of granting to small grazing runholders the rebate on rent at present allowed to other Crown tenants. The Minister replied that he would consider the matter. He, however, pointed out that small grazing run tenants pay an annual rental of 2J- per cent, of the capital value of their land only, whereas the tenants holding land on occu-1 pation with right of purchase and | lease in perpetuity or land for settle- j ment tenures, pay rental at the rate of 5 per cent, and 4 per cent., respectively.
