FATHER HAYS’ MISSION.
JFec Press Association.;) Auckland, last night. Father Hays this afternoon addressed a groat demonstration of scholars of all publio and private schools in Auckland and district. The educational bodies and Roman Oatholio authorities granted a publio holiday, and the procession from Albert Park was witnessed by thousands of people. At the clobs of a most impressive address 5000 children, representative of every denomination, took with the father a resolution to practise total abstinence to the age of 25, and by good example, thrift, and industry, to become useful citizens and praotioal Christians. Five thousand souvenirs were presented to those present.
