SUPPOSED DROWNING.
Auckland, Saturday. d A ?, ou ?| man namoii Henry Sale, of Darnell, left yesterday afternoon in a rowing boat for a cruise down the harbor, I and, as he did not return in the evening, his relatives became somewhat alarmed, I and a party W6nt out in a boat in quest of the missing man. The fishing boat Zea* landia, which wob coming np to Auokland, was spoken on the way, and tho men on | board of her reported that they had picked n P. a boat off Bean Rook lighthouse, whiob, upon investigation, turned out to be the one in whioh young Sale had left Parnell in. The men on the Zealandia stated that when they pioked the boat up tho oars were in the rowlocks and swung out. It is surmised that Sale fell over* board and has been drowned.
