LATE NEW ZEALAND.
(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, last night, The Arbitration Court, in the award in the moulders’ dispute, state that they did not find reasons for altering wages in the present award, the evidence satisfying them that the condition of trade did not Warrant an alteration.
Wellington, last night. George Wiltshire, civil engineer, and a member of the Wellington City Council, died suddenly to-day while transacting some business in the office of Meek and Von Haast, solicitors. Mr Wiltshire, who -was 60 years of age, was City Surveyor in 'Wellington for Borne years. A school at Hukanui, near Pahiatua, lias been destroyed by fire. The annual meeting of the Wellington Meat Export Company was held to-day, the directors’ report, recommending the payment of an 8 per cent dividend, being carried.
Timarn, last night. Manawatu beat South Canterbury by six points (two tries) to a goal from the field. The game was fa9t and interesting, the visitors having ft good deal tbe best of the play. The tries ware scored by Johnsod and Hcotty and the goal potted by Horgan. ' - ,; :
