A BATTLE INEVITABLE

Tho Japanese drove the Russians at Paleo. Saghalioo, southwards, capturing two guns. The Russians halted 25 miles south of Xaylen, and sent a flag of tri ee, stating they had no modioal necessaries, and were therefore compelled to terminate hostilities.
The Japanese demanded ail war supplies and Government property intact. Tho Governor accepted the terms and surrendered, with 70 officers and 3000 men.
Japan has ordered in America 356 steel bridgos, 150 locomotives, 2000 steel cars, tho order to be given the quickest delivery. Tho plant is required for a 150-mile expansion through Manchuria to connect the Fusion and Seoul railroad with the Chinese Eastern railroad. Received 4.10 p.m., Aug. 6. London, August 6. Tokio reports that the advance guards of the armies south of Tnmen are within rifle range, and an early battle is inevitable.
