(Per Press Association.) Nelson, last night. The football match Kla Toa (Palmerston North) versus the Rivals (Nelson) played to-day, was won by the visitors by four points to nil. The Dunlop road race from Nelson to Eelgrove and back, about forty five miles, brought out twelve starters, and considerable interest was evinced. P, Greeo, with seven and h'alf minutes start, come in first, his time being two hours 23 mins. 35 soos.; A Stewart (scratch), 2—21 —32 second; Eves(scratch), 2 —21—52 2-3 third. - A. I Stewart thus represents Nelson in the I Christchurch-Timaru road race.

The death occurred to-day of Mr Browne Wood, second son of the late Mastsr General H. J. Wood, aged 83.
