Received 11.58 p.m., July 28. Londori, July 28. A Japanese naval detachment on the 24th captured Alkowa altar dislodging a battalion of infantry and 100 volunteers, with eight guns, from Luikoff Hill. A detachment of Japanese infantry captured Mugatai, securing 40,000 tons of coal and some light railway material. The Russians stubbornly defended the redoubts east of Alesandrovek. The town was ultimately captured intact, with 200 prisoners.
