For threatening behaviour at His Majesty’s Theatre on July 19lh, a young man was fined 10s and costs. Henry Willoughby was fined 10s and costs for druDkeDness. Ho was further charged with being an idle and disorderly person, having insufficient lawful means of support. The Magistrate advised accused to get work, and said that on this occasion ho would not send him to gaol.

There was a largo attendance ot the special poultry ■ sale, hold by Mr AV. T. Raymond at the Theatre Royal, and good business was reported, although prices were somewhat low. A large supper Pi Indian game were entered, and half the entries were sold, the prices were somewhat disappointing to breeders. There wes good demand far the other classes of poultry, whilst duck 3 were also in good request.' Amongst the lots offered were a number of Mr H. M. Porter’s birds. Messrs Da'gety and Co., the local ageDts, gave a trial of thß Deere Di3o plough yesterday in a paddock belongmg To Mr Tietjen at Waercnga-ahika. A good team of four horses were provided by Mr Tietjou to work the three-furrow plough in a field of maize, aud exce.lent work was done. - The ground was rather sticky, aud ploughing at a depth of sevon inches made the work a bit heavy for the horses, the maize stalks ware buried and the ground, completely pulverised. Latar on one disc was taken on, and grand work was done, the horses having a very easy job. The farmers present expressed themselves as thorougnly satis fled, and convinced the Deere Disc plough was hard to beat. in a maize held. Mr Ranger, the company's expert, was in charge of oparation3. Another trial will be given next Thursday in a paddook near the saleyards.
