The debate on’ths second reading of the Fire Brigades Bill had not concluded when the House took the dinner adjournment. The House resumed at 7.30. Tbe delivery of the Financial Statement occupied 1£ hours. In reply to!Mr Massey, Mr Seddon said he hoped the House would be prepared to make a start with the financial debate on Friday next. The House rose at 9.25 p.m.
