Since the issue of a writ for a_ libel action against Mr Hayes by Willis in connection with the land C3ses, '-the Newsletter published sevoral articles commenting on Willis’ actions. To-day Mr John. Want, solicitor on behalf of Willis, was granted a rule, nisi directing Hayes, as publisher oi the Newsletter to show cause why he should not be committed for contempt. The rule Was mado returnable on Monday. The Assembly passed a bill extending the powers of tho Land Commission.
