Received 9.32 p.m., July 21. Washington, July 21. President Roosevelt was interviewed by Mies Helen Jerome, the Melbourne journalist.
The President said : 11 1 take keen interest in Australia and New Zealand, particularly New Zealand.” Referring to Alien Restriction and the declining birthrate he said: “ You must let the world eoter your gates or keep your cradles full.”
