Owing to the buoyancy of tho revenue, the Dominion Parliament baa approved of tbo Govrr -.ment’s proposal to increase Sir Wilfrid Laurier’s salary to 12,000 dollars, to give ton Oppcskion leader 7000 dollars, increase members and souatora’ salaries to 200 dollars, and to provide exMinisters, who have served five consecutive years at the- .bead of a department, with ponEions of 3000 dollars.
