Tho King and Queen opened the Alexandra Homo at Wimbledon for officers’ widows and daughters. Queen Alexandra, who had ocoaeion at Coronation time to givo the Home 1,15,000, now presenfcod another £3OOO, giving a similar amount to the Soldiers and Sailors’ Families Association. The money was bequeathed to Queen Alexandra by Mr Lear, a Liverpool gentleman.
