STATE OFFICE CAUSES OVER 50 PER CENT. REDUCTION.

Competition in tire insurance was in evidenoe herd at the Borough Counoil to-night, when tenders were opened from the various companies to insure ths Town Hall. Tho rate previously charged was 31a per bent. Tho price accepted was 14s for the South British on behalf of the, associated companies. Tho State office tendered at 16s 9d. Tho value of tho policy. 13 £IOOO on a wooden building.
