PARLIAMENT.
AFTERNOON SITTING,. (Per Press’ Association.) Wellington, last night. The Council met nt 2.30. The Criminal Code Amendment Bill, Jubilee Institute for t’oo Blind Bill, Evidence Bill, and Property Law Amendment Bill were read a second rime. The House met at 2.30. A lengthy debate took place on Mr Hogg’s Flour Du.y Abolition Bill, the debate continuing until the dinner adjournment. Mr Seddon said ho would inform the House on Tuesday what course the Government proposed to pursue in regard to the report of the Lands Commission. EVENING SITTING. The House resumed at 7.30. The Old Age Pensions Bill waa considered in Committee, Amendments were made increasing the income disqnalifica* tion from £52 to £6O, and reducing the property disqualification from £270 to £260. A concession was also made in computing income and capital value of property held by husband, and wife, and when the claimant owns tho house in which he resides. The Bill was reported as amended, and the House rose at midnight.
