As soon as the proceedings opened a galleryite rOBe and asked what steps were being taken to help the unernp oyed. In thß middle of his speech, n.nd while attacking Mr Carruthers in airing his grievances, a policeman interfered and removed the speaker. The gallery was then cleared midst a babel of cries about starving wives and children and demands for work. A parting shout was, “Wo want work, not palaver from members.”
