(Per Press Ass od atios-I Wellington, last night. '■The Council mot at 2 30. • After farther debating on the Address-in-Beply the Council adjourned till Thursday. ; The House met at 2.30. The debate on the second reading of the Old Age. Pensions Bill was continued throughout the afternoon. _ Mr Taylor moved the following smendment -—" That no Bill dealing with old age pensions will be satisfactory which fails to place the system on a more equit able basis by abolishing the penalties now Imposed upon many thrifty and industrious old' colonists who, because they possess a home valued at .£270, are deDrived of a pension, and the House is of opinion that this injustice should be removed before the pension is tnereassd. jRVBNTNGf SITTING.
