MR PERCY DENTON’S CONCERT.

The concert to be given at His Majesty’s Theatre next Thursday evening promises much enjoyment. The programme being arranged cannot help giving satisfaction to all. Mr Denton returns to as after an übsenco of nearly five years, during which time he has in all the principal towns of Now Zealand, and is conceded to be the leading tenor. His numbers will include “ A Song of Thanksgiving,” one of Frances Alletseo’s best efforts, and “Marjorie,” a dainty ballad written expressly for him by Mr Alex Hill, of Wellington. He will also be seon in his amusing and realistic impersonation of the Premier, which cannot fail to amuse. Miss Madoline Knight, who arrived from Auckland yesterday, will be heard with pleasure, as she has already made herself an established favorite in Gisborne. Mr Dudley Trent is also singing. He, too, is always’ a welcome addition to any programme. Mr A. F. Kennedy will also take part, and the City Band and the Gisborne Club Orchestra will render some of tbeir choicest selections from their extensive repertoires. As the programme is one of much merit, and the prices popular, Mr Denton should bo greeted with a bumper house. The box plan is now open at Miller’s, where seats may hfs reserved.
