THE REBELS’ ESCAPADES. DEMANDS ON THEODOSIA.
By telegraph, Press Ass'll, Copyright Rsceived 1.20 p.m., July 8. St. Petersburg, July 7. The Kniaz Potemkin captured and looted a Russian cattle steamer, the Grand Duke Alexif, of Theodosia. It requisitioned Theodosia for large supplies of provisions, 500 tons of coal within 24 hours on pain of bombardment. The authorities supplied provisions, but declared there was no coal in the town, and directed the residents to leave, except troops apd police. Later! St. Petersburg directed the refusal of supplies. When the Kniaz Potemkin sent a boat ashore the infantry fired, killing two of the crew. The mutineers’ torpedoers then fired a shell, which whizzed over the town. The mutineers are still oil the harbor.
