ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
(Per Press Association.) Napier, last night. At the inquest on the body of the man Daniel McAlister, the jury returned a verdict of found drowned, hut that there was no evidence to show how the body came to bo in the wa'e-. A rider was added to the effect that more lights were required on the eastern s'de of the Iron Pot. An accident occurred on board the 5.3. Wanaka late on Saturday, when Bho was being berihed at the Glasgow wharf. The mooring chain which had been made fast to the wharf parted, one of the ends strik ing the boßtswain, Alexander Brock, on the logs. He was taken to the hospital, where it was discovered that one of his thighs mis fractured and the shin of the other leg badly bruised. Ho is progressing favorably.
