Although the American consul cabled that the Kniazpotemkin surrendered soon after Admiral Kruger’s squadron arrived at noon without bring a shot, the Daily Mail’s Odessa correspondent mentions that there was mysterious signalling betwoen the Kniaz and the punitive fleet. They made a flnal- departure later, followed by the Kniaz.
Received 4.50 p.m., June 2. St. Petersburg, July 1. All the dockers at Kaonstadt have struck as tv protest against mobilisation. Martial law has been proclaimed over the whole Province of Eriveu, Sebastapol, and Ticolareff.
The Kniazpotomkin’s shelling of Odessa was duo to temporary arrost of a portion of the mutineers attending Omelobub’s funeral. The demonstration secured their release.

The Time’s St. Petersburg correspondent states that telegrams reported to have been received last night announce that a battle is progressing outside Odessa, and adding that several of Admiral Kruger’s ships have mutinied. There is no official confirmation.
Private telegrams from Odessa state that a second battleship, supposed to be the Georgi Pobiedonosteff, has mutinied. There is no possibility of the early resumption of business. The position is undoubtedly critical. Reports from other sources state that Bailors ,at Kronstadt mutinied, objecting to fatigne duty ashore. They killed two officers and wounded six others.
