The game was fast and interesting. th 9 Auckland forwards beating New Zealand in the pack, but the local backs Were not comparing with the representative’s rear division in attack, tho latter’s superiority in this respect accounting for Auckland’s defeat by 9 points to 3. Hunter scored for New Zealand in the first spell, and McGregor and Smith in the second half, Wallace failing to oonvert any of the three tries. W. Tyler scored a try for Auckland ja3t before the close of the game. This was not converted.
