Tbo weatbel: for the second day of the Napier Park'RaciDg Club’s winter meeting wan quite as bad as on the opening day, rain falling at, intervals all day. The attendance, nevertheless, was good, Tbo totalisator investments amounted to £5257, making a total of £11,068 for the two days, an increase of £337 on iaat year’s total. The racing was very good indeed, nearly all the finishes being very close, Thb results were : Waiohiko Hack. —Wild Cat 1, Daredevil 2, Baitio -3. Scratched: Bounce, Cable, and Coßtna. Won by a length. Time 3.4 .15, Div £3 2s and £2 2|. ‘Winter Oats, — Assayer 1, Rare Madder 2, Full Cry 3. Soratched : Shrapnel and Faro. Won by half a length. A good race. Time, 1.55. Divs, £9 8s and £1 7s. Park Steeplechase. Jack o’ Lantern I Lurcher ... ... ... 2 Torpina ... ... _ ... 8 Scratched : Bosr. Patupa'-ehe and Crusso! fell. A great race.. Won by a neck. Tiom, 5.50 1-5. Div., £4 2s. Brookiands Handioap.—Fonfenoy 1, Banzai 2, Captain Shannon 3. Scratched : Hipporofla, Matakolciri, Pantaloon, and Shanks. Won easily. Time, 1.24 1.5, Div£l 7s and £1 13s.
