t j Per Press Association. : ■.Christchurch, last night. At the Addington yards there ware fairly rgo entries of stock in nearly all depariuits, end a good attendance. Beef sold vibout tho previous week’s rates, and |*o was no change in the values of prime i.ambs. The prices for store sheep, exm wethers, were firmer, aod pig 3 of all fe*es were dull of sale. The prices for wethers wore firm, but prices for nimished sort 3 aod ewes that were not sally prime were ea*ier. There was only moderate demand for storo cattle and airy bows. S.oro sheep—There was a moderate ibry, consisting mostly of wothora aod ees. Thorn was a rather hotter sale for 5S and hoggets, but wethers wore ada eisinr. The principal sales were : • ewoa 17a lOd to ISs 3d, 160 2 tooths | X&& ewes hoggets 165,.148 2 and 4-tooth •.grajfej 2d, 118 at 18s, 300 at 17s 2a, Aooths'l7s to 17s 2d, 60 hoggets 15s 197 at 14s, 127 at 13s Id. • at lambs—There was a fairly largo irdiog. a considerable proportion being ifieiabod. There was good competition jr prime , lota, which maintained last yeek’s price, but backward sorts were lasier. Chapman’s, llount Somers,' £8 12s 6d, 7 heifers from Ur Birdlicg’s, Port Bovy, £4 15s to £5, md 10 oows £4 7a 6d to £5 7s 6d ; 6 ‘i steers from an Ashburton client £5 10s to '* i£B 15a. Other steers brought £5 17s 65 \to £9, heifers £5 6d to £8 10s and £8 12s , Bd, and cows £4 17s 6d to £6 ss—equal to : 19s to 21s for prime and 16s to 18s for cow aod inferior beef por 1001 b.
