BODY FOUND AMONGST ASHES. (Per,s Press Association. 1 ! Hawera, last night. A fire occurred at Whakamara early on Saturday, a three-roomed house being destroyed. There iB no trace of the occupant, John Horner, a bachelor aged about 50 or 60 years, who is supposed to have perished in the flames. The police have gone out to investigate. Later. —The remains of John Horner (better known a 3 Horne) were found amongst the ashes of the cottage at Whakamara, destroyed by fire early on Saturday mornir.g. The limbs and head had been burnt off and only a portion of the trunk'was remaining. There is no clue how the fire started. Deceased was the occupant of the cottage, and had been in the district eighteen months, and came from Rangitikei.
