(Per Press Association.) Palmerston North, last night. A mooting of the National Dairy Association decided that the Association should confer with the Agricultural Department in reference to the regulations in regard to the dairy industry ; that tbo railage on dairy produco should bo reduced to rate E : that the attention of the Government be drawn to the futility of employees in dairy factories coming under the Conciliation Act. Mr Kinselln, interviewed by the Manawatu Times, said that the general thake of butter had improved since last time he was iD the colony, but went on to say tbat complaints were constantly arising as to deterioration in butter shipped Home. Butter classed as first quulifey in the colony very often after a few weeks at Home deteriorated. This yoar complaints had been more marked than before, even in the best samples. Rapid deterioration took place owiDg to the bacteriological action after, defrosting. This emphasised the necessity for on experimental station whore proper investigation could be made. The cheese exhibit at this show was a largo one, but the quality was unsatisfactory. The defect in the majority of cases was m the flavor. This might be attributed to the absorption of bacteria, which Gained indirect the milk; also there was a great deal of room for improvement in the general make-up of cheese,
