About 300 people attended a meeting this afternoon to protest against clauses o. and 21 of the Shops and Offices Act. Speeches were delivered by Messrs Dutbie, Barber, Fisher, and Hordman, M.’sH.R. A resolution was carried testing against legislation ■ which in its operation makes penal the right of makieg an honest livelihood.
