LIKE A WHALE. FISHERMEN IN PERIL.

I Auckland, fast night, I Two fishermen were plying their calling I in a 20ft mullet boat off Cape Colville, I when a large fisb, thought to be a whale, I struck the oraft below the water. It ' apparently just grazed the boat’s bottom accidentally, but the vessel leaked badly. The fishermen attempted to reach Waiheke, but just before the island was reached the boat sank. Her owner, J. Gallagher, and his mate rowed ashore in a dingy.
