A witness named Phillips deposed that he saw three men on the jetty. He heard a scuffling and then two splashes at an interval of half a minute. He then saw one man looking into the water. This individual afterwards walked quietly away- He could not be identified. The coroner suggested that one man might have tried to rescuo the other.
