DRUIDS’ SOCIAL.
A most pleasant social was held last evening at the Patutahi Public Hall, being carried out by the Patutahi brethren. Although the weather was most unpleasant during the early part of the evening a large number assembled, the floor being in perfect order. Excellent music was supplied by Mr Alf Kirk and Miss Kirk (piano and violin), and the devotees of the terpsichoreau art enjoyed them selves to the fullest extent. The oatering was carried out by the following ladies :— Mesdames Lyons, Angland, Russell, Manson, and Miss Manson, who provided an excellent supper.
The success of the gathering was also greatly due to Bros. Lyons, Aogland, Fade, W. Bryson, W. Clayden, SarjeDt, Breingan, and F. Ferguson. Bro. R. Leslie. Scragg, McKempie, and W. Breingan carried out fch,e duties of Ms.C. in a most satisfactory manner. The gathering is only the forerunner of many others to be held in different outlying centres, for the purpose of keeping in touch with the country brethren of the order. The principal officers of .tho lodge and several town brethren were also present. i
