The .work, which was abandoned by a former company, was taken tip by a local company soino weeks ago. The boro was > continued 100 feet, and this week most f promising indications were mot with. > After sinking two foot into tho sandstoue, small quantities of oil woro brought up. Mr Pair, tho manager, is confident of sueOQss in a day or two. Tho boro is tho deepest yot sunk.
