The sum of £10,196 was passed through the totalisator. ' The rosults were Tamoki Steeplechase—Lingard 1, Great Soott 2, Roff 3. Defoe and Morehu were soratohed. Won by a length. Major fell. Time, 456 3-5. Div, £3 7s. York Welter Handicap—Exmoor 1, Sir Gilead 2, Lycia 3. Chivalry was scratched. Won by a head. Time, 1.48 1-6. Divs, £4 2s 6d and £5. Winter Steeplechase.
Nor’-west 1 Haydn.. 2 Dinno 3 —All started. Won by two lengths, five lengths betwoen second and third. Time, 6.30. Div, £2 11s 6d.
Campbell Hurdles—Cavalry 1, Cuiragno 2, Waitarere 3. Hakaria and Morehu ware scratched. Won by a length. Time, 3.33. Divs, £4 14s and £ll ss. FUzroy Welter—Nervine 1, Pukekohe 2, Loo Delaval 3. The weather wa3 fine for the second day of the Dunedin Jockey Club’s meeting, postponed from Monday last, but the course was heavy. The attendance was only moderato. The amount put through the totalisator was £3651 10s, making £5719 for the meeting, as compared with £9448 10s for last year.
