Blenheim, last night. The sixth week of the New Zealand egglaying eoinnetition brings the grand total o£ oggn laid up to 2417. Tho number laid -f during tha week was 735, a<3 against 60x for the previous week. This average in- >, creased to roughly 1 2 5 of egg per head. Tbo number of non-contributing pens is now reduced to 18.- The white Leghorn of j Horny Legar, of L"vin, is still lending with 31 for lasv week and a grand total of, 145. The white Leghorn ox 37. B. Brooks, of South Australia, crept up to second place with 27 for last week and a grand total of i 132. The third is H. Creber’s silver f Wyandotte, from Westport, with 15 and 109 respectively.
