The Norwegian nowspapers and. people express unbounded delight at regaining the free- 4 dom of a Sovereign State. The Storthing adopted tho resolutions in solemn silence.
The Swedish press, while denouncing the resolutions, state that no Swedish party or politicians would compel or persuade them to mainthin a union which had become a burden. They demand the removal of all Norwegians from the diplO* matic and consular services.
