ELECTRIC TRAMS.
(Per Press Association.) Gurietchurcb, last night. The Papanui portion of the olectric tramways to bo officially oponod on Monday is 2 miles 72 chains in length. Of the total lgogth of all the lines 29 miles 50 chains, ' have been completed at present 12 #£;' ;*?ma}les 21 chains. It is estimated that tbe Tramway Board’s expenditure to date is considerably over .£IIOO,OOO. The contract • price for constructing the lines was £249,876.
