CONSUL’S ADVICES.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, June 3. The Japanese Consul’s advices covering Admiral Togo’s reports state t'hat the Oslybia was seriously damaged at an early stage in the battle, and sank at three o’clock.
The Sieeoi Veliky, Admiral Makinoff, and Vladimir Mouomach had suffered heavily at mid-day, and by night were so damaged by destroyers and torpedo boat flotillas that they were completely out of action. They woro discovered nest morning drifting near Tsushima, but sank before they could bo captured. Their survivors, numbering about 915, were rescued by converted cruisers and people on the coast. It is certain from statements of the prisoners that tho Navarin was struck by I four torpedoes and sunk. The commander of the Nataka reports that the Svietlana was discovered on the morning of the 28th off Chikuhen Bay, and was sunk by the Nataka and the Otowa.
