Tho head linos show us that tho prioo of buttor is good, Ciooro has won the Dorby in roiord time, and Admiral Togo has displayed tho greatest humanity to his conquered foos, Deeds of heroes adorn every column. I fool, Mr Editor, that most of your roadors would havo boou pleased if in this morning’s paper you had rison to tho oooasion and onunoiatod a spirit of magnanimity—Mr Rosbdestvonsky has boon boaton, out of signt one might say—but thcro arc those who romombor (despite the Doggor Bank inoident to tho oontrary, which whiah ail dcoont people dopioro) that this Admiral won by prowoss and courage for himself a name in the nrefc rank of those in tho naval profession * ana however much we may as Britishers rejoice in our ally’s victory over him and his fleet, we can at loast follow this modorn Nelson’s (Admiral Togo) lead, and treat this fallen idol with tho courtesy duo to a gentleman.
