STARTLING DISCLOSURES.

Sydney, June 1. I At the Land Commission Sir John See categorically denied tho statements previously made before the Commission that he. when Premier, or subsequently, was interested in the sale of certain estates. Bath produced for tho Commissionersj inspection the bill bearing the name over which the trouble arose at the previous 1 sitting. He explained that his non-return then was due to illness. Ho and Crick j were further examined as regards the investment of Bath's commission in Treasury bills. Nothing fresh transpired. Mr Webster, member of the House of | Representatives, made serious allegations of extortion practised by land agents. He declared it was practically as difficult for bona fide settlers to obtain their rights as a matter of law and without extortion by agents as for the proverbial camel to pass through the eye of a needle. He explained that when a momber of the New South Woles Parliament he tried to air the matter, but was always blocked by interested members. He also made charges of dummying. Ho produced a sworn declaration from a man who alleged he and several others paid through Willis as a dummy. The Crown Lands Commissioner said he would enquire into the question of agents, but not dummyiDg.
