Thera was a large attendance at the and salos held on Saturday by Messrs Williams and Kettle, in conjunction with Mr T. G. Lawless, and a considerable amount of business was reported, the total sales amounting to upwnrds of fourtoen hundred pounds. Most of the properties offered wore building sections in different parts of the Borough, and the prices obtained for the latter we re slightly in advance of those ruling at previous salos. The wet weather experienced during the past fortnight no doubt kept many intending purchasers from investing, but all I things considered the vendors must have been well satisfied with the result of the sale. Mr G. B. Wyllio officiated as auctioneer. The first properties offorod wore the sections fronting Gladstone and Desmond Hoads.
