THE EXHIBITION.
(Per. Press Association.')'
Christchurch, Inst night. A deputation from the Executive of the International Exhibition waited on the Domain Board, and asked that a site for the exhibition should be granted in north Hagley Bark in the vicinity of Victoria Lake. The site proposed wa3 124 acres in area, which included the lake and river. It was elated that an Act of Parliament would probably be necessary to empower the exhibition authorities to make a charge for admission to the exhibition. It was decided to grant the application made, provided that cycling and other paths were kept open as long as possible, and that the Board is recouped for the revenue lost with regard to that portion of the site now leased for grazing purposes, and also any expense they may be put to in restoring the Park to its original condition at the close of the exhibition.
