Messrs Williams and Kettle, lili., re port :—We held ohr nsnal fortnightly sal at Matawhero on Thursday last. Oc yarding of both sheep and cattle was large one for the time of the year. Th weather was very rough, and it rlimei most of the time we were selling ; ■ in fact at times it came down in torrents. Th attendance was about the same as usual and those who were there were beojs o:’ business. Competition for all classes ?' sheep were keen. We yarded 1042 head i | cattle, and sold 936 at prices satisfactory ! the vendors. Our yarding of sheep ooa sisted of 6387 of all classes, inoluding&oi: lines of 2 and 4-tooth wethers. We clean the whole of our entry, with the exceptic of two small lots. The following were th buyers and the prices ruling' during th day :—23 18-month steers, W. G.
