MIDLAND RAILWAY.
'(Per Press ‘Association,'} Christchurch, last night
At a meeting of the North Canterbury Executive of the Formers’ Union exception was taken to the president’s report regarding the Midland Railway meeting at Hokitika, which be attended. His report was couched in enthusiastic terms and was favorable to . agitation for thß completion of the line in five years. The member who took exception to the report said the president had misrepresented the Union rather than represented it at the meeting, and as one who was opposed Jto the completion of the line he considered the Union had not been treated fairly. The report was received and is to be disonssed at the provincial conference next week.
