Whon tho Australians commonood their second innings there was barely hours left for play. Trumper and Duff wero the first to bat, Loes aud Knox bowling. After half-an-bour’s play, with 50 up, Trumpor was bowled by Loos. One for 50. Armstrong wa3 tho next batsman, and despito tho bowling ohanges runs oarno at a great paeo, 90 being up before 6 o’clock and 130-at 5.12. When 64, Duff, in trying to bring off a big hit, was bowled by Hobbs. The innings ocoupied 85 minutes, and he gave a brilliant display of hitting. Two for 148.
