VICTORIA WINS INTER COLONIAL EIGHT-OAR RACE.

The eight-oarsd race resulted:— Victoria „ ... 1 Tasmania ... 2 Now South Wales ... ... 3 —The other starters weret Westralia, Queensland and South Auf itr&lia. The race was practically rowed in two divisions. Victoria and Tasmania clea red from the others. Tasmania led for a mile, when Victoria went to the front, and’ after a fine struggle won by a length. The .New South Wales crew, which headed the second division ten lengths away, beat Westralia after a great finish by a quarter of a length. The time was 16.24, a record for the oourse.
The Single Sculls Championship resulted Bourke (Tasmania) 1, Evans (Tasmania) 2, Ivens (Victoria) 3. Won by Bix lengths. Time, 20.3-J
