Auckland, last night. The Auckland Racing Club Committee considered tho endorsement of the disqualification of the jockey, J. McClusky, by the stewards of tho Avondale Jockey Club, and resolved that as the details of the disqualification had not been supplied by the Avondale Club secretary to the Club which licensed McClusky the A.R.C. Committee decline to endorse the disqualification.
New Plymouth, last night. Obituary : ADtonio Rodriquez, aged 73, who distinguished himself in the Maori war, and won the New Zealand Cross.
Wanganui, last night. During the hearing of a prohibition case at tho Police Court this morning, the Magistrate, Mr Stanford, remarked on tho fact that there was a great deal of ignorance still existing. He was asked whether an order issued in was effective in another, and he took opportunity odco more to publicly state that prohibition orders took effect over the whole colony. Joseph Iliffe, a young man, ploadcd guilty to throe charges of breaking and entering and theft, and was remanded to the Supremo Court at Wellington for sontenoe.
Dunedin, last night. At the request of the Bible iu Schools League, Dr Sidoy will take charge of the •League’s Referendum Bill, vice Mr Arnold.

A locomotive which had been to Heriot for cleaning and was returning to Edenvale after dark yesterday, smashed into passenger cars that were standing on tbo main lino, telescoping one carriage and doing considerable damage to engine and rolling stock. A man on the engine escaped with a severe shaking. All hands have been sußpondod, pending an enquiry.
