Where is Togo ? Is Kamimura about ? Civilisation is getting anxious ; it wants to know why it hasn’t hoard from them sooner than this. It seems to Christendom that all Togo has got to do is to sail down some fine morning and suddenly blow Rozhdestvensky out of the water, and it wonders why he doesn’t do it. It hasn’t struck the public that the gentleman who conducted the little affair at tho Dogger Bank is a 3 far from here to Sydney from Togo’s southernmost naval base, and that Togo’s southernmost naval base is as far as from Melbourne to Western Australia from Togo’s headquarters. It isn’t any good expending time and coal and risk in going three or four thousand miles away from your base to look for an enemy, when you know that if you only wait where you are he is sura to come your way. Consequently Togo is just waiting. By-aod-bye, when Rozhdestvensky musters np courage enough to move on, Togo will receive him in a manner eminently suit able to the occasion, but that wily sea dog isn’t going all the way to Cochin China to look for him, Togo knows a game worth two Qf that. —Christchurob Truth,
